Deuteronomy 6 talks about loving the LORD our God and passing that love of the Lord on to the next generation. One way that we can do this is by knowing and talking about Gospel truths with our children. "Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up" (6:7). This is the theme of this year's Concord Kids Road Trips. As we head out on the "road", we will be teaching the kids to view all of life through God's Word - the Gospel.
Concord is planning three outings to do just that! Each day, kids ages 7-12 (rising 1st through 5th) can be dropped off at Concord at 9:00 am and picked up at 3:00 pm. During that time, we will take a bus to our road trip destination. As we discover and play at each location, we will be learning to glorify God as we see the world through His eyes.
June 4 - Water Day
Join us as we travel to the Tennessee Baptist Children's Home for fun-filled water day! There will be a giant slip-n-slide, water balloons, and other exciting water games. At each event, we will be pulling water themes from scripture - the flood, Jesus walking on water, crossing the Red Sea. etc. - and talking about God's promises.
June 18 - Hike and Creek Walk
Jesus always took advantage of His time with the disciples as they were hiking from town to town, on dusty roads and along the river and sea. Join us on a hike as we explore the topics Jesus taught His own disciples as they walked along the road.
July 16 - Creative Discovery Museum
What better way to learn about God and His design than through the many aspects of science! Not only will we discover and tour the main areas of the museum, but our time will also include a special science demonstration. At each exhibit, leaders will be intentional about pointing children to see God as our great Creator.
